Player of the Year 1994 Peter Colquitt
4TH XI REPORT 1994 Our first season in Division 5 didn't get off to an ideal start as we lost the opening game at home to Chilwell who had been relegated from Division 4. However we were not outplayed or outclassed but we dropped four catches. I hoped that wouldn't set the tone for the rest of the season, or our visit to Division 5 would be a brief one. My fears on that score were soon eased as we found that the opposition although older and much more experienced did not undermine our enthusiasm which proved more than a match for them and we finished comfortably in the league. Selection problems were also eased this year as we managed to keep a core of six or seven regulars and people like Kevin Webberley, Ben Lee and Matthew Thompson cemented their place with their enthusiastic attitude and competitiveness.
